HISTORY OF DELLWOOD TIREIn 1948, John Mitrovich started Dellwood Service Station in Lockport. One year later, his brother in-law Norbert Cora joined him in the business. As their business grew, they expanded their operation to a larger facility and retread shop in Lockport, Illinois. A third partner, Bill Bornhofen, joined them in 1960 and the three partners continued to grow their business. Today, Dellwood Tire is a second generation company that has since expanded into three locations including a full service automotive shop (pictured right), a truck service center in Lockport, and a full service truck and retread plant in Minooka, Illinois. |
